Wonderful Upcoming Quilting Opportunities

Quilt Tour

The Upland Hills Health Auxiliary is hosting "Pieces of the Past," a quilt tour, Oct. 2 and 3, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Quilts made by residents living at five area care facilities will be on display at each site. The sites will be Mineral Point Care Center (in Mineral Point), Upland Hills Nursing and Rehab Center, Sienna Crest Assisted Living, CrestRidge Assisted Living and Bloomfield Health Care and Rehab Center (all located in Dodgeville). The cost is $5 per ticket, and that ticket allows you to visit all five sites. In conjunction with the quilt tour, there will be a raffle of many fantastic items— with a wonderful grand prize. Join the Auxiliary in viewing and learning the stories behind all these wonderful "pieces of the past." For more information, contact Linda at 608-623-2789.

Quilting Retreat

The first Upland Hills Health Auxiliary Quilt Retreat will be held Oct. 22, 23 and 24 for quilters of all levels. This will be an opportunity to learn the basics of quilting or enjoy a great weekend getaway if you already know how to quilt. The retreat will be held at The House on the Rock Inn in Dodgeville. You'll have a fun, relaxing weekend while learning how to make that special quilt top. The cost for the weekend is $50 plus the cost of the hotel room (if you choose to stay at the Inn) and meals. For more information, contact Karen Whitaker at 608-943-6545 or click on more information for registration form.

*Proceeds from each quilting event will benefit the Upland Hills Health Auxiliary.
